Standard

A time-limited, low cost policy designed to help with the costs of veterinary treatment for injury or illness. Our Standard policy offers cover for up to 12 months per condition. Our Standard policy has a veterinary fee limit of £3,000 per condition.

Maximum Benefit

An enhanced level of cover as well as an extensive range of additional benefits. Maximum benefit polices have no time limit on claims, so you can claim year after year for an ongoing condition, up to the monetary limits for as long as you continue to renew your policy. We offer 3 types of maximum benefit cover with veterinary fees limits of £2,000, £4,000 or £7,000 per condition.

Do I get a discount if I insure more than one pet?

Yes! If you’re insuring more than two pets you’ll receive a five per cent discount. It will be automatically applied after you add a second pet to your quote.

I need to make a claim. How do I go about this?

To make a claim, simply download a claim form, fill it in and send it to us. If you’d rather we sent you a copy of the claim form through the post, please call us on 01423 535057.

What is Lifetime cover?

What is Standard cover?

What is Accidently Only cover?

How much do I have to pay if I need to claim?

The excess is the amount you will need to pay if you need to make a claim. This varies depending on which policy you choose. When you are choosing a policy, the excess amounts will be shown so you can pick the policy that is right for you (and your pet, of course!).

How old does my pet have to be?

We insure both cats and dogs from six weeks old.

Would I ever have to pay more than my excess?

If your vet has claimed for something we don’t cover, such as prescription diets, or if your claim exceeds the insured amount, then you will have to pay any additional costs.

If I take my pet abroad with me on holiday, is he covered for Veterinary Treatment?

If you have one of our Maximum Benefit or Lifetime policies, your pet is covered for treatment for up to 45 days abroad per each policy year.

Do you cover dental care? If so, does this include cleaning and polishing?

We will look to cover dental treatment for both illnesses and/or injuries, depending on the cover level selected, and providing the pet has had an annual dental check up by the vet and followed any dental advice that you have been given. We do not cover cosmetic dentistry ie: descaling and polishing.

Do you pay claims direct to my vet?

We are happy to pay claims direct to your vet, but this is providing they are happy to accept payments from us, as some will not. It is a good idea to check with the veterinary practice you use.

What is Complementary Treatment?

Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Chiropractic Manipulation, Hydrotherapy and Osteopathy.
